Centrifugal fans accelerate airflow radially through an enclosed casing, producing higher static pressure than axial fans of comparable diameter. They are the workhorses of ducted ventilation, process exhaust, dust handling, and high-pressure industrial applications where conventional axial fans cannot deliver the required pressure rise.
